A Licensed Professional Here to Help Guide You

I was called to the nursing profession as a child. Always knowing that my purpose was to care for women and infants. I’ve been called again to care for women in a different way. Dealing with the ethereal. The delicate part of you that may need sensitive care at this time. Your mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a mental health professional can make things better.  It can be the difference between "surviving" and "thriving". I am here to provide you a safe space to acquire all the tools you need for your treasure chest of life. The one that you can open and pull from whenever you need to, as life continues to happen.

Professional Background

My name is Dr. Diane Rainford, DNP, NP. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and am a first generation American of Afro-Caribbean decent. My family is from the island of St. Lucia in the West Indies. I have been a professional nurse for over 25 years and have a passion for mental and women’s health.

Through my decade long work as a women’s health nurse practitioner, I witnessed daily, the great need for mental healthcare  focused on the unique needs of women throughout the different phases of their lives. Leading to my transition in recent years into psychiatry.

Today I hold two current and active board certifications’, one in Psychiatry by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the other in Women's Health (Obstetrics & Gynecology) by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).

My approach is a holistic one, incorporating all aspects of your life and lifestyle. My patient's have described me as "non-judgmental, caring, genuine and real." I offer compassionate, empathetic and nurturing care. We may be a great fit to work together if you believe this is an approach to care that you are seeking and are ready to do some healing work. Many of my clients work with established therapists and along with medication management I am here to offer additional support and contribute meaningfully to your recovery (which is absolutely possible, THERE IS HOPE) from depressive and anxiety disorders!
